One of Taiwan's most famously floral oolongs, Bao Zhong achieves a delicate palate and strong aromas of lilac and orchid through extremely slow withering, light oxidation (less than 20%), and gentle rolling. Harvested only in spring and winter in Nantou, Bao Zhong is made from the qing xin cultivar.
So called "the wrapped kind" because the carefully hand wrapped paper it was originally packed in, this is one of the most easy drinking oolongs around. Look for a hint of powdered sugar on the dry leaves. We love it cold steeped for a little more body and earth.
